Annual Sea-Kayaking Adventure

The Hatlen Center’s students and staff had a great time (as always) on our annual sea-kayaking trip. The day started bright and early with a 40 min drive to Sausalito. Before launching the kayaks, the students were given instruction on safety and proper technique. Once all the students were paired with sighted guides from Environmental Traveling Companions, they were off! Students spent the day kayaking around the bay, pausing about half way through for a lunch break. The Hatlen Center strives to expose our students to a variety of outdoor recreational activities every year.
