What if The Hatlen Center for the Blind earned a donation every time you searched the Internet? Or how about if a percentage of every purchase you made online went to support our non-profit? Well, now it can!

GoodSearch is a new Yahoo-powered search engine that donates half its advertising revenue, about a penny per search, to the charities its users designate. Use it just as you would any search engine, get quality search results from Yahoo, and watch the donations add up!

GoodShop (part of GoodSearch) is a new online shopping mall which donates up to 30 percent of each purchase to your favorite cause! Hundreds of great stores including Amazon, Target, Gap, Best Buy, eBay, Macy’s and Barnes & Noble have teamed up with GoodShop, and every time you place an order, you’ll be supporting The Hatlen Center.

Instructions for installing the GoodSearch Toolbar: (compatible with Internet Explorer and Mozilla Firefox)

1. Go to http://www.goodsearch.com/toolbar/hatlen-center-for-the-blind
2. Click on DOWNLOAD TOOLBAR
3. Click on DOWNLOAD THE GOODSEARCH TOOLBAR
4. A window will pop up – click on RUN
5. Another window will pop up once it’s downloaded – click on RUN
6. The GoodSearch Toolbar Setup Wizard will appear – click on NEXT
7. If you want to change the destination folder, you can do so here (this is optional) – click on NEXT
8. Confirm installation by clicking on NEXT
9. Depending on your operating system, another window might appear asking you to verify that you want to install GoodSearch – if so, click on CONTINUE
10. Once it’s finished, click on CLOSE to exit setup
11. Now you just have to exit and re-open your browser

Every time you use the search box in the GoodSearch toolbar, you’ll be earning money for The Hatlen Center!
