Arif Syed

IT Specialist & Apple Tech Instructor

After earning a BS in Environmental Science at UC Berkeley, Arif came on board as our Office Manager in February of 2004. In February 2008, Arif was promoted to half-time Development Associate and half-time Office Manager. Since then, Arif has written many successful grants in addition to managing the office. It would be difficult for us to function without his intelligence, problem-solving ability, calm demeanor and good humor. In 2011 it became clear that it was time to promote Arif again. His new position provides a platform where his natural teaching talent and IT capabilities shine. Arif now spends half of his time teaching the newly accessible iPod Touch, the iPhone, iPad, and the MacBook Pro to our students as well as writing curriculum for Apple products. The other half of his time is spent managing all of our computer systems, website, and other IT needs as well as continuing to write adaptive technology grants. We are so very grateful he is on our team.
