James LeDuc received his bachelors degree from UC Berkeley in 1967. After serving in the U.S. Army, he attended San Francisco State and received a Masters Degree in Special Education in 1973. He was an Orientation/Mobility teacher in the Richmond Unified School District and The Hatlen Center for the Blind (formerly the Living Skills Center), served as a Board Member and Executive Director of The Hatlen Center, and as an administrator of special education programs for the Contra Costa County Superintendent of Schools office. For the past 30 years, Jim and his wife, Paula LeDuc, have operated their own catering and special events business serving the greater San Francisco Bay Area. Jim rejoined The Hatlen Center Board in July 2009. He and Paula have two grown children and split their time between San Francisco and Calistoga, California.
