Braille Instructor & Access Technology Assistant
We knew when Rachel first entered The Hatlen Center as a student from North Carolina that she was a very special person. A college graduate with a B.A. in counseling, Rachel was already tech savvy and an expert in Braille when she arrived. She soaked up the rest of our curriculum in short order, and soon moved out into her own apartment. When our wonderful Braille teacher Myra Marin moved too far away to commute to work, we were thrilled to be able to replace her with Rachel. In addition, when Rachel is not busy teaching Braille, she will lend a hand in our Access Technology Lab as a teaching assistant. We are lucky to welcome this multi-talented person to our staff!
